"Worth The Wait" - "Devotions with Da'dra"
00:00 / 00:00

I woke up thinking about all the amazing things God has done in my life. He told me to start a group when I was a teenager. I, along with the other founding members, obyed and years later Anointed became an internationally known Multi-Grammy Nominated, 7 Time Dove Award, and 3 Time Stellar Award-winning group.

I also remember praying as a teenage in our home and telling God that I would be so happy if I could just be in full-time music ministry. Well, years later, that's exactly what has manifested in my life. I've done nothing but music ministry full-time since I graduated from college.

I also received multiple prophesies about doing a solo project. And in 2017, a complete stranger gave me the money at a ’chance meeting’ at a fast food establishment. Isn't that crazy. So, It came to pass just as God said it woikd.!
(The Record is entitled, ’All Of Me.’ It's available on all digital platforms and in cd form at dadragreathouse.com...shamelessplug) lol

Well, what do all of these dreams have in common? It took many years for them to manifest. But, it has most certainly been worth the wait.

Why? Because I had to wait for God to orchestrate the strategic, divine introductions to key people who were assigned to be a part of manifesting these God-given dreams. And, it also took time for me to grow into God's dream for my life. NOW, That’s a whole other subject.

But, here’s my point. Many of you have become weary in waiting. And believe me, I’ve been there and had to fight to hold onto God’s promises for my life. Furthermore, I had to work at not getting in the way and letting Him do it HIS WAY, NOW That can be quite a challenge. Ask Sarah in the Bible.

In Genesis 21:1-2 it says “The LORD kept his word and did for Sarah exactly what he had promised. She became pregnant, and she gave birth to a son for Abraham in his old age. This happened at just the right time God had said it would.” Wow! From this we see that God has an appointed time for your promises to cone to pass.
Now, Sarah actually did get in the way and (ahem) admonished her husband to have a son with her handmaiden. Now, why on earth would a wife do such a thing? HA HA Well, I believe she became weary while waiting, and let me yell ya, that turned out to be a hot mess. Ha ha ha! delete

But, God kept His promise years later in spite of Sarah. And when she was 90 and Abraham was 100, their promised son was born. Ummmm, that's a long time to wait. They were waaaaaaaayyyyyy beyond childbearing years! Ha ha But, nothing is impossible for God.

So Listen, if God said He was going to do something for you, it may take awhile, but you can't give up. Be not weary in well doing, for in due season you will reap in you don't faint. And even when it seems like it's too late, remember time doesn't control God. Rather, God is in control of time. He knows exactly when the appointed moment for the manifestation of your promises should be. So, Trust Him and don't be weary while waiting. It will be worth the wait.

Here's another interesting thing about this story. Just a few chapters before this one, Abraham had 3 visitors areice . And He promptly GAVE them shade and food to eat. Now This really stood out to me because I’ve personally witnessed the same pattern in my life. Every time God has released a blessing to me, It has always been preceded by an instruction to sow seed in some way, be it monetarily, or otherwise. And, just a few chapters after Abraham sowed into the lives of those visitors, his promise was released.

Here's something to consider. Perhaps God is waiting to release your promise, but you have yet to follow through on sowing the seed that will release that harvest into your life. Seed sowing isn't just about money. It’s whatever God instructs you to give. It could be time serving another person, organization or ministry, donating food or clothing, giving of your, time, your talent or knowledge. It could also be sowing in prayer, anything. Now, In this story, it just so happened to be food. And guess what, I've come to realize that ALL my extremely successful friends are consistent givers, and Promises are continuously being fulfilled in their lives because they are constantly sowing seed.

Finally, you can't give up if you want to see your dream come to pass. And, you have to follow through on the instructions given by God while you are waiting. There's an old saying that goes like this, ’He may not come when you want Him to, but He’s right on time. And, you can still count on this today, that it will be with the wait.

I hope this encourages you.

Love Ya!!! Have a blessed, prosperous and productive day.
